May you enjoy this concert as much as I had pleasure producing it

An open letter to Mr Sinatra

To the family of Mr. Frank Sinatra and his many friends worldwide,

Mel, Jim, & John, the creators of this Tribute page honoring Mr. Sinatra, would like to thank the thousands upon thousands of his fans and friends that have visited this musical site in his honor, and to those who have left such poignant comments in our guest book.

I am sure that in some way, he is looking down at this Tribute and reading all the nice comments, and smiling with that famous Frank smile. This Tribute to one of the world's finest entertainers will remain public for as long as there is an Internet. We are the lucky ones, to be able to share in his legacy of music. Nothing at all will ever be offered for sale on this Tribute page, and permission will never be granted for any type of commercialization... ever.

It will remain just as it is, which was my first criterion when I envisioned this page, nothing but a salute to the Man and his Music, our simple way of saying "thank you Frank" for your many years of entertaining us, his fans.

God Rest His Soul.

Once again, we would like to share the Eulogy with you...

SOFT AND SAFE TO THEE MY FRIEND
BE THY RESTING PLACE…

My Way

[ All following numbers by Mel Webb ]

With emotion in our hearts, and yet with love that knows no bounds, we bid
farewell to our departed friend, Mr. Frank Sinatra.

He has entered his final resting place, but leaves us with our hearts full of joy
for having the pleasure of either knowing the man, or knowing of him.

He has filled the world with music that we as mortals will enjoy
until the day that we join with him.

You will be missed Sir, by your family and loved ones, and by
millions of your worldly fans.

We thank you for leaving us a mountainous amount of your songs and music
done in only the way that you alone could do it, the …..Sinatra way.

We shall continue till all eternity, to enjoy the blessings that you left for us,
and for enriching our lives with, The Man And His Music, we shall forever
be grateful. Bless you.

                                              Rest in peace .....

Seems like old times

'All Or Nothing At All' could be attributed to Frank's days when he was referred to as the " skinny little kid from Hoboken ". A recording of that song, with the Harry James band sold more than a million copies! Ah, .... memories.

All or nothing at all

I'll get by

Midi by Mel Webb

This song was one of the first titles Frank recorded with the Tommy Dorsey Band on 19 January, 1942. On that occasion, Axel Stordahl was the arranger and conductor. Also recorded at that session were Night and Day, Lamplighter's Serenade and The Night we Called it a Day.

Our love is here to stay

Could 30 years have gone by already? Back then, I used to play in a band on our Air Force base and whenever we played the next number, bar sales plummeted to near zero and with cause: everyone was on the dance floor! Ah sweet memories....
