Who Where
Looking for someone on the Net? Chances are you will find it here.

C|Net Search Engine
Never has searching the Internet for that particular topic been easier, or at least, as powerful as now. A new service provided by c|net taps into the search power of over 250 search engines! It includes a good tutorial on 'how to search' and includes a substantial menu of potential 'search topics'. For example, you can select a search under education, entertainment, finance, health, references etc etc.

Search Savvy
Search using 19 search engines. You can search by software, reference, people, WWW Resources and more.

Yahoo
A fantastic place to find just about anything. One of the better "Starting Off Points" to visit.

InfoSeek
InfoSeek Net Search is considered the most powerful and popular way to search the Web. Just type your question in plain English or enter words and phrases.

The Virtual Library
Provided by the WorldWide Web Consortium (W3C), The Virtual Library contains hundreds of subjects. A catalog of 10 popular subject fields is provided, based on the number of links to those resources from other Internet sites. Resources are also sparsely annotated by the site's submitter.

Galaxy
In Galaxy, the subject directory is built with submissions and human updates. The search engine supports Boolean searching as well as allowing for searching by network tool, such as gopher, telnet, and WorldWide Web. A detailed subject breakout under eleven major categories is visible on the main page. Sites are not annotated, but the volume of subjects and sites is quite useful.

Midi Files
The very best source for Midi files, bar none. Links to good search engines.

The Music & Audio Connection
International Resource for anyone interested in music. Includes much information on artists, associations, files, books, magazines, videos and more.

AltaVista
Very, very hot indeed. A giant new search engine has been launched by Digital Equipment Corporation. After only eight days, it apparently has indexed16.5 million Web pages! This actually means it has built up a larger catalog than its competitors, InfoSeek or Lycos. I toyed a little with this newcomer and I must say 'I am impressed' As a bonus, it includes an index of postings to Usenet forums. Much information can be gathered from such forums and this last feature is a welcome one indeed.

Magellan
One of the very best!

Excite
This is probably the best free Internet search service available today. It's easy to use, and must have an enormous data base to find some of the stuff it comes up with. .

All-in-One
This page is a compilation of various forms-based search tools found on the Internet. They have been combined here to form a consistent interface and convenient ALL-IN-ONE search point.

Awesome Lists

Midi Files Galore
Superb site for Midi files.

EINet Galaxy
An exhaustive directory of Internet resources.

The Internet Sleuth
A collection of over 800 searchable databases on the Internet on a wide variety of subjects. Tell them about your favorite searchable sites so that they can add them to their list. An outstanding starting point!.
